How to add Add On Domains

An addon domain is a separate domain that is hosted on your primary domain but it appears as if it is hosted on its own account. This will be like having a totally new website and domain name hosted from your existing hosting account.

If your signed up for hosting with “MyDomain.NET” but then you wanted a totally new website and purchased the domain "MyNewWebsite.COM" you can add "MyNewWebsite.COM" as an addon domain, and use folders on your primary domain to upload the websites content and functionality. Then if a user types "MyNewWebsite.COM" into their browser they will be taken to the new website who’s content is hosted under a specific folder under your primary domain.

To addon a domain please follow these steps:

Firstly please ensure that the name servers are pointing to: (Note: This will be done automatically if you registered your new domain with IBSPoint.com or our sister domain registration site ibshostarabia.com)

Name Servers:

ns1.ibspoint.com:173.236.13.74
ns2.ibspoint.com:
173.236.13.75

To setup a parked domain in cPanel, select 'Add-on Domains' under the 'Domains' menu and complete the form as follows:

New Domain Name: the domain you wish to add

Subdomain/FTP Username: Whatever you put in the this field will be the folder that is created under your primary account. It will also be the default username for mail and FTP.
