Can a subscriber choose groups upon signup?

When one signs up, can we make it so that they can choose which groups to subscribe to?

Absolutely. Go into Emails -> Email Subscription Widget, and then click the Customize Subscription Pages tab towards the top of that page.

You'll see a preview of your subscription page, and along the very left side of the page will be a light grey column with all sorts of different things you can edit--logo, page description, colors, etc.

You'll want to click "Group Fields." This is where you can choose which of your groups can be chosen upon signup. Make sure to hit "Save and Publish" in the top right when you're done editing this page.

Note that when you're getting the code for the subscription widget on the Emails -> Email Subscription Widget page, you must leave the group field blank in order for these choices to show up. If you choose a group, that particular box will always point to that one group
