When you import your own custom HTML into an email campaign, there are a few things to keep in mind. First of all, make sure all of your links and images are referencing the full web address (i.e. "http://www.website.com/image.gif" rather than just "/image.gif"). Also, even though it may look great on the web, not all HTML code is email-friendly, so RatePoint will make certain modifications to the code to make it more universally compatible.
For example, when CSS is used, RatePoint will automatically convert the CSS into inline HTML for maximum consistency. We generally recommend using the most basic fonts possible (Arial, Verdana, Times New Roman, Tahoma, Comic Sans, Courier) or else many of your recipients might be seeing it reverted to their email program's default font (usually Arial or Times New Roman). Also, here is a list of things that RatePoint will strip entirely:
-Background Images
-Image maps
-Flash
-JavaScript
-Form tags
For email purposes, in general, the simpler you keep your code, the better.
