How do I upload my own images for use in an email newsletter?

There are two ways to upload images into RatePoint--from within the email builder, or from the dedicated Images area using the tab at the top of the console.  First of all, please note that only three image file types are acceptable:

  • .GIF files
  • .JPG files
  • .PNG files (if you experience some fuzziness using .GIF or .JPG images, you may want to try this type)

To upload from within the email builder:

  1. While you're in the "Content" phase, click "Edit" on any block.
  2. Click the "Image" button along the left side of the screen (just a little bit under the font options).
  3. Click the turquoise "Upload Image" button in the top-left of the "Image Properties" box that pops up.
  4. Find the image on your computer, and click OK ("Open" on a Mac).
  5. Optionally, you can edit properties on this page ("Description," "Linked to URL," "Width," "Height," "Alignment").
  6. Click "Save and Insert."

To upload from within the dedicated Images section:

  1. Put your mouse cursor over the "Images" tab at the top of the page.
  2. Click "Upload" right under that.
  3. Make sure all the checkboxes on that page are checked, and click "Choose Images."
  4. Find your image(s) on your computer.  You can select multiple images by holding the Control key (Command/Apple key on a Mac) while you click.
  5. Click "OK" ("Select" on a Mac).
  6. After the images upload, click "Next and Review."
  7. To add these images to a category (optional), you can use the "choose a category" dropdown at the top, or click "New Category" and type in a new category name.
  8. At the bottom of that page, click "Update Images."
