The Web-Based E-Mail Application
WebMail is an advanced POP3/SMTP mail client to manipulate (e.g: read, delete, etc.) any mail item that resides on the mail server, from a remote station like a PC or a Unix station. Because WebMail uses the plain POP3 protocol, no direct file access is needed on the server hosting the POP3 mailbox.
Webmail Features
- Works with Internet Explorer 5 and newer, Mozilla/Gecko and Netscape 6.x
- Access from any internet conneted PC to any POP3 mailbox
- Display text, HTML and MIME mails
- Access to mail attachements
- Multiselection for fast mail deletion/spam processing
- Fast client side mail sorting
- CC and BCC addresses for outgoing mails
The WebMail application acts the same way as Windows when you select multiple messages. While holding down the CONTROL key and clicking you may select a number of messages at random. If you hold down the SHIFT key while clicking, ALL messages between the current clink and the previous one are selected.
A more comprehensive web-based email application is in development which will support many additional and advanced features. Check the Operating system updates and changelog page regularly for more information on the release date for this feature.
